Man City Head to Galactic Club Cup, Face Inter Uranus

Following their four-nil victory over Copa Libertadores winner Fluminense, newly-crowned World Champions Manchester City will now head to the Galactic Club Cup on Venus to compete against the best teams from in and around the galaxy.

In their opening game, the Citizens will play neighbours Moon United, with the winner of that tie expected to meet last year’s Galactic champions, Inter Uranus.

Speaking on the latter, Guardiola said, ‘Playing Inter Uranus will be a hard semi. It will be tight, no doubt, but we must come in focused.’

City’s star striker Erling Haaland is in a race to get fit for the trip as he prepares to face off against his fellow humanoid machines, telling reporters: ‘The fitness team are still installing updates to my mainframe, hopefully, they’ll be uploaded soon, and I’ll be rebooted in time for the game.’

Elsewhere, City fans have come under fire, with only six fans having made the trip to Venus. The ex-Liverpool midfielder, Danny Murphy, said on Sky Sports, ‘If Liverpool were playing, Venus would be rocking, the stadium would be sold out – it’s poor from the City fans. And look, I understand Venus isn’t the easiest place to get to, but we all know scousers would find a way.’
